Installing Rails on Debian / Ubuntu

h1. Get Ruby pre(bash). $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install build-essential libopenssl-ruby $ sudo apt-get install ruby ruby1.8-dev libsqlite3-dev h2. Installing RubyGems bq(code). $ sudo apt-get install rubygems To make gem work properly add path to ~/.bashrc: bq. export PATH=/var/lib/gems/1.8/bin:$PATH h2. Installing Rails Use RubyGems to install rails and dependencys: bq. $ sudo gem install rails sqlite3-ruby h2. Get missing gems pre(terminal). $ $ gem list --local sudo rake gem:install h2.
