Deploying Enki at heroku

Clone enki blog at github and then get a local copy:

$ git clone
$ mv enki seitenmacher
$ cd seitenmacher
$ git checkout -b myblog

Adjust enki.yml, make sure not to use delegation, as yo need therefore 2 workers (heroku support request from/link):

$ git commit -a -m 'customised enki.yml'
$ git add .gems
$ git commit -a -m 'adding gem manifest file for heroku'
$ git checkout master
$ git merge myblog
$ rake db:migrate

Prepare your local box for testing development versions:

$ sudo apt-get install libxml2-dev libxslt1-dev
$ sudo gem install webrat --version 0.3
$ rake spec
$ script/server

Get ready for upload

$ heroku create seitenmacher
$ git push heroku master
$ heroku rake db:migrate
$ heroku rake spec #check for errors, missing gems?
$ heroku info
=== seitenmacher

Right, not here. But it doesn’t mean I’m not interested in your feedback. I just prefer to use more busy services ;-) where a wider discussion could incur. So tweet me @netzfisch or if you find an error, fork my blog, correct the post and send me a pull request via GitHub. Thanks for your efforts.
